New Client Comments

Warning: I’m not shy about self-promotion, as this post will demonstrate.

About a week ago I decided that I wouldn’t mind adding a new writing client to the Big Red Notebook family. I decided to line one up by offering a one-time special and announcing it via this blog and Twitter.

The idea mimicked that old PSA in which the evil drug dealer handed out free samples to kids, knowing they’d develop the kind of addiction that would turn them into regular customers. Preferring a nominal barrier for entry (I wanted a new client, not a mere freebie seeker), I didn’t offer anything for free. I made it one helluva deal, though.

Anyway, about five minutes after hitting the playground with my offer of goodies, Andy Henry stumbled by.

When you come up with a plan like mine, you hope that a guy like Andy takes you up on the offer. He’s a well-regarded Internet marketer with a long track record and a reputation as a straight talker. You may have seen him blogging at Turn to Andy, discussing IM issues at the Warrior Forum, or being involved with countless other projects. He’s an IM veteran with a squeaky-clean “good guy” reputation and a history of success.

Andy decided he’d play along with the “I Want a New Client” exercise. He told me what he needed, we quickly came to terms and I delivered the goods. Here’s his reaction:

“Writing is something that I rarely outsource when I need great content as I just can’t trust anyone to produce the sort of quality I need to represent my business on my network of websites, let alone the times I’ve been burnt by writers stealing content and being poor quality. So I was amazed when I saw the speed, quality and price of Carson’s work. Great content, great communication, great price and no ‘modification’ required by me before I can use it.

Thanks for being a reliable source for me and others needing high quality content!

Regards,

Andy Henry

Can’t beat that with a stick, can you? Now all I have to do is to convince him to keep hitting me up every time he needs a hand. With any luck, that’s what’ll happen and my little experiment will have worked out just right.
Thanks for being my newest client, Andy.
